We are excited to announce the following Queen Shirley Foundation (QSF) online therapeutic music workshops. Listening to music, singing, playing an instrument, and dancing are all great ways to boost your mood. When you attend a remote music class from the comfort and safety of your own home, you don’t need to worry about transportation, childcare, or facility restrictions for the pandemic. You will actually enjoy choosing to stay home during one of our mood-boosting workshops.
No prior music skills are required for participants, and many workshops don’t require instruments. Therapeutic music workshops without instruments may include the following activities: singing, song writing, rhythm by clapping or tapping on a table, and listening to music in different ways.
Participant attend 2 times per week for two hours, with workshops for as long as 6-12 weeks in length.
Listening to music from different cultures may help open your mind to new perspectives and increase your compassion towards others. As you experience more empathy for different cultures with cultural music arts online, you may discover you have more compassion for yourself. Compassion is a fundamental building block for a mentally healthy lifestyle and a healthier world.
You don’t have to be a professional to take a remote singing class. If you enjoy singing, this virtual vocal arts workshop is the perfect mood booster for you at any skill level. It is finally time to move beyond singing in the shower alone to this fun, online vocal arts workshop with mood boosting songs in a group setting.
Whether you already enjoy playing an instrument or if you are a beginner who wants to learn to play a new instrument, we have a variety of instrumental arts workshops. Find the virtual instrumental workshops that fits your skill level.
