This Privacy Policy applies to our website and any content delivered by The Queen Shirley Foundation through our website, including, but not limited to, our blog, workshops or groups, donation, and volunteer sign-up pages, and social media pages (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy is not intended to cover Personal Information that may be collected offline.

User Provided Information

We may collect the following personal information directly from you online when you register as a volunteer, register for workshops or groups, donate to our organization, seek a job opportunity with us, attend training or other activities we offer, share your personal photographs or videos with us, follow us on social media, or like, comment, or share our content on social media. Please note that any personal information you are required to provide online to The Queen Shirley Foundation, such as to register to volunteer or make a donation, will be combined with other information about you that is provided voluntarily and collected on the Site or via email, such as personal photographs or videos that you may share with us, and information collected in relation to your requesting information on our workshops or groups, seeking a job or engaging in social media activity with us.

 

When you register to volunteer, you must provide us with the following required information:

  • first and last name;
  • email address;
  • mailing address;
  • mobile telephone number;
  • full date of birth;
  • login information (your email address/username and password).

 

During registration, you may also voluntarily provide the following information, which, if you provide it, will be combined with the required registration information:

  • home telephone number;
  • ethnicity;
  • gender;
  • disability status;
  • education level;
  • information on how you heard about The Queen Shirley Foundation.

 

When you register for workshops or groups you must provide us with the following required information:

  • first and last name;
  • email address;
  • mailing address;
  • telephone number;
  • full date of birth;
  • age
  • interests
  • ethnicity;
  • gender;
  • disability status;
  • education level;
  • information on how you heard about The Queen Shirley Foundation
  • any special needs to participate
  • signed waiver for children under 13

When you make a donation, you must provide us with the following required information:

  • first and last name;
  • email address;
  • mailing address;
  • telephone number; and
  • credit or debit card information.

 

This information will be combined with other information related to your donation that you may voluntarily provide, including: amount and frequency of donation; and matching gift and other donation details, including name and contact information of individuals for whom a gift is in honor of, tribute to or in memory of.

When you request information on our workshops or groups, or job opportunities, contact us, or follow us on social media, or like, comment, or share our content on social media, we also collect the following information:

  • first and last name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • content of communications with us, including in a cover letter and resume; and,
  • username and public information, including personal posts, photographs, and videos, made available through social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and/or LinkedIn.

We also automatically collect tracking information from all visitors about how they use the Site. It also includes alerting recipients on our email list of upcoming workshops or groups, programs, and news so they may stay current on new developments related to The Queen Shirley Foundation. Each User may indicate such preferences during the initial registration process or may visit the “My Profile” section of the Site to update their preferences. You may also choose what information you supply when creating an account, registering for workshops or groups, or otherwise interacting with us through the Site.
